How Productive are You By Ali Brown

On the weekends I review what I have accomplished during the week and plan my activities for the following week.  Over the years, I have found that scheduling and prioritizing tasks makes all the difference in the effectiveness of my efforts.

On Friday, Ali Brown, founder and CEO of the dynamic multimillion dollar enterprise Ali International LLC, posted the following quiz.  It's excellent.  My suggestion would be that you take it and be very honest with yourself when you do.

If you find yourself squirming when answering some of the questions, you may want to makes the necessary changes so that next time you take the quiz, you won't squirm. Janet

"QUIZ:

How Productive Are You?"

Overcoming Network Marketing Objections—It's How Much You Care by Janet Callaway | The Natural Networker

In network marketing there is an oft repeated phrase “people don't care how much you know until they know how much you care.” This true statement is often forgotten as network marketers rush to “dump” information on prospects to “convince” them to join The Company.

It is important to remember the conversation is not about what you have to offer, how great your company is or how great the products are. Rather, it is about discovering what problems your prospects may have and how your opportunity, company or products might help them.

Make Network Marketing Objections Your Friends by Janet Callaway | The Natural Networker

None of those are the appropriate response; all of them make the objection an enemy rather than a friend.

Cashing the Check by Seth Godin

As you readers, Facebook friends and Twitter followers know, I am huge fan of best selling author Seth Godin (Linchpin, Tribes, Purple Cow, Permission Marketing and many more). His blog post today resonates with me because of the way it ties together opportunity and procrastination.  Janet

A check in your wallet does you very little good. It represents opportunity, sure, but not action.

Network Marketing, Social Media Marketing and Life all have “experts” telling you what do to in order to be successful. Let's look at these experts. Since network marketing, social media marketing and life are all different types of journeys with twists and turns, peaks and valleys and fraught with challenges, do you want a Travel Agent or a Tour Guide advising you?

What's the difference, you may ask, they both give you information about the trip. To me, the two are actually quite different. Let me explain.

Network + Marketing + Lemons = Life by Janet Callaway | The Natural Networker

Network + Marketing + Lemons = Life and Times of Sir Richard Branson. Last night I finished reading his fascinating and thought provoking book Business Stripped Bare (thanks Chris Brogan for the recommendation).

While this book is certainly about business, woven throughout the book are lessons on relationships, taking action, attitude and so much more. This is a book to be read repeatedly and savored each time.

Network Marketing, Social Media Marketing & Bicycles By Janet Callaway | The Natural Networker

Network marketing, social media marketing and bicycles—what on earth do they have in common? More than you think.

All of them are learned skills and, with practice, a person can succeed with each of them.

When you first learned how to ride a bicycle no doubt you started with training wheels. Just when you were feeling “comfortable” with your riding skills, the wheels were removed, you became “shaky,” uncertain and scared once again.

Here is one final process I wanted to share with you to help make 2011 your best year ever. My suggestion would be that you read The 4-Hour Workweek by Timothy Ferriss. Go to his chapter on entitled “System Reset” and learn about dreamlining. As he says, it is both fun and hard. Guaranteed you will never look at your life the same way.
