Network Marketing—A to Z #7 In a Series of Fun Facts, Figures & Tips by Janet Callaway | The Natural Networker

Network Marketing--A to Z is an encyclopedia of fun facts, figures and tips for success in this amazing industry.

Let's continue on with the next 2 letters in the alphabet, each of which help you to understand another reason why building a network marketing business makes sense.

The business and leadership skills you develop in network marketing will enrich your life in many areas.

O is for Opportunity. Network marketing provides opportunity in multiple areas. Here are a few.

Opportunity for personal development. In order to build a business of any size in network marketing, you must learn to work effectively with all types of people and under all kinds of conditions. You must know when to be a cheerleader and when to be a task master. You must learn to control your emotions, schedule your time and take consistent action.

Opportunity to create a modest amount of extra income or to become financially independent. The choice is yours. You and you alone determine how much money you make in this industry. If you so choose, you can create a legacy for your family that will last for generations.

Opportunity for you to spend more time doing what's important to you. How would you like to be able to spend time with your family, pursuing your hobbies or giving back to your community or church? When you build a successful network marketing business, you decide what you do with your time rather than someone else. No more asking for time off to attend your children's athletic events or recitals; no more asking permission to go on vacation.

Opportunity to take back control of your life and to design the life you want.

P is for People. Network marketing is a people business. It is about neither the company you are with nor the products/services you represent. Rather, it is about the people you can help with your products/services and the financial opportunity. It is about the people who are your team members—those in your support line and those you support. It is about others in the field with whom you connect. It is about the leaders who put on great events and trainings. It is about the about the people of the company—the owners, management and staff. Network marketing is all about people; it is a true relationship business.

One final comment on people. In this industry, there is an impact on far more people than just those involved directly with the network marketing companies. In order for those companies to have the products/services to market, manufacturing companies, vendors, trucking companies and many more types of businesses, hire people to produce or deliver what is required by the network marketing companies. Because of this industry, jobs are created and literally billions of dollars are generated for the economy.

People are the heart and the business of network marketing.

Opportunity and People coming together to make a difference. Does that appeal to you?
