Social Media Marketing, the Internet & You by Janet Callaway | The Natural Networker

Social media marketing, network marketing and traditional marketing all have two elements in common:
  1. They have to get their product or service in front of people
  2. They have to get those people to buy
The people you want to buy your product or service are online.

Let's take a look to see what figures show about the effectiveness of social media.

According to U.S. Based Mandala Research, travelers using social media in the U.S. generate about $102.9 billion for the domestic US tourism sector vs. about $69.5 billion from non-social media users. Known as “travel social fans,” social media users who travel sign up as friends, fans or followers on social networking sites, primarily Facebook, for leisure travel information.

How pervasive is social media? How big is the audience? Again, let's look to the numbers.

  • 1.97 billion people on the Internet
  • 600 million people on Facebook
  • 190 million people on Twitter
  • 152 million blogs on the Internet
  • 2 billion videos watched per day on YouTube

Do you have a product or service to sell? Are you using the power of social media marketing to reach your target market? The people are buying online. Are you selling online?

Are you willing to take your business online and build relationships one tweet or post at a time? Social media marketing is a way to find and engage with customers, clients and business partners.

Even more dramatic results can be seen in the convergence of social networking and the network marketing industry. Social media marketing and networking marketing are both about relationship marketing.

Can you see how social media marketing can work for you?
