How to Create Powerful Affirmations by Janet Callaway

Earlier this year, the video clip in this post circulated. It had a powerful impact on everyone who watched it. At this time of the year, many people are thinking about changes they want to make in their lives for next year, new year's resolutions as well as other promises to themselves. Before connecting you with the clip, let me give you a couple of thoughts along with two book recommendations.

In order for you to experience your desired outcome, it is first important that you be clear on what it is that you want. Get the picture of what you want in your mind and keep telling yourself that you're going to get it. Every thought held constantly and persistently sooner or later becomes reality.

Every idea presented to the subconscious mind is going to be produced in its exact counterpart in life. The quicker your subconscious gets the idea, the sooner your goal becomes a picture of power.

Two books that will help you develop your understanding of why this works as well as give you the practical “how to” put it into action are: Magic of Believing—Claude Bristol, 1948 (the mirror technique explanation); The Magic of Thinking Big—David Schwartz, 1959.

This brief video clip is from Jessica's dad's YouTube channel. About a year ago, he was posting family clips and posted this one of Jessica when she was 4 years old; she is now 14. Over 6 million people have watched this video. Jessica not only makes you smile when you watch the clip, she makes you realize how powerful affirmations are. It is so important what we say because that is what we set in motion for our futures.

So, did Jessica inspire you to create your own Clear affirmations?

  1. That did inspire me. I obviously need to add a little more enthusiasm when I'm reading mine.
